The local musical mecca of the Valley - Tempe, has set the stage for musical revival, after months of dry spell.

Lead singer Jared Kolesar of Jared and the Mill will be one of the firsts to perform at the Tempe Music Revival.

Starting yesterday, November 1, local musicians will hit the stage at Mill Avenue and Sixth Street every Friday.

Mill Avenue's was musician's paradise during the 1980s and 1990s, but its prominence began to wane after that.

"I'm glad it will be back in force soon enough. Tempe's music scene has diminished somewhat recently," Kolesar said.
