A Peoria man has been detained for molesting his foster child for more than a decade now.

Maricopa County Sheriff's officials arrested the 61-year-old Bruce Melvin Peacock on Thursday at his workplace in Phoenix.

The officials revealed that the accused is being held without bond on suspicion of three counts - "each of molestation of a child, sexual conduct with a minor and sexual abuse."

Apparently the Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit were alerted about his wrongdoings late September after the 16-year-old victim told her school counselor about her foster father's misconduct.

During the investigation, detectives discovered that Peacock allegedly has been having sexual contact with the girl when she was just 6.
