Saturday seems to be fast turning up an eventful weekend for the Arizonians.

This weekend, Tempe police are hosting an unusual event — a personal paper shredding event — to protect identity theft.

The event will be held at the Tempe Police Substation on Hardy Drive, north of Warner Road. The event is scheduled between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Resident participants can carry up to 50 pounds of documents to be shredded.

Not just that, there is also provision for donations for Special Olympics. Receipts will be provided for ever donation made.
