Phoenix firefighters successfully managed to rescue a pet pooch from a house fire that broke out in a house in the northern part of the state capital on Sunday morning.
Firefighters rushed to the burning home near 7th Avenue and Coral Gables Drive, south of Greenway Parkway, at 10:30 a.m soon after they received a call, Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Capt. Ruben Saavedra said.
