A woman had to bear the brunt of her boyfriend's ignorance about how Facebook works. The woman was not able to explain her 35-year-old boyfriend about the mechanism of Facebook and he assaulted her thinking that men were sending her messages directly via the social site.
The Phoenix man named Travis Schelling was angry everytime a friend’s post appeared on her news feed. He hit her every time there was a post on the news feed.
Police records suggest that Schelling assaulted her sexually, punched, slapped and pulled out her hair. The horrible ordeal started at around 11:30 PM on Friday and continued till 3 AM Saturday.
He left her apartment on Saturday noon. When the woman went to the police she had a cut and swollen lip and bruises in her body.
The women reportedly told police that Schelling didn't allow her to leave her own apartment fearing that she would dial 911. The confused man even threatened her against calling the police. He said he would not only kill her, but also her family and friends, according to court records.
The man is currently in Maricopa County jail, booked for suspicion of sexual abuse, aggravated assault, threatening, kidnapping and not allowing the woman to call 911.
