A woman was hit by a train of the metro light rail in east of Phoenix on Monday night. The accident left the woman injured, according to the Phoenix Fire Department officials.
The incident took place at around 9:20 PM, when the victim was walking near 38th and Washington streets.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department officials the light rail train was moving at a speed of approximately 20 miles per hour when the woman was struck.
The events leading to the incident are being investigated at the scene by the Phoenix police.
