Good news from Apple, that it owns the insolvent GT Advanced Technologies facilities, which was an Apple’s supply partner involved in the production of sapphire glass. In the premises it would like to start new data center. The commitment from Apple is $2 billion for the period of 10 years. Apart from the jobs creation, the firm will provide power supply to 14000 Arizona homes, which is completely generated through renewable source (solar energy).

The giant has expanding requirements for cloud and data management in both the desktop and mobile platforms, as well as iCloud.com. Apple’s new data center will be used as command center for their global networks.

The east Mesa center is expected to create 150 full-time Apple jobs and also up to 500 construction and trade jobs, while the facility at Signal Butte and Elliot roads is configured for its latest role.

The project, announced Monday by Gov. Doug Ducey, and lauded the interest of global firm and extended his support for the east Mesa center.

"We think the fact that the most successful company in the history of America has chosen the state of Arizona for its largest investment is an exclamation point on the direction we're headed," Ducey said. "We're excited about it, and there's more to come."

Apple’s existing data centers are all having power source from renewable energy only, which includes facilities in the Bay Area and in North Carolina, and Oregon, as well as a new facility opened last year outside of Reno, Nevada.

The decision of Apple Inc. will certainly help the government and the people by increasing the revenue and developing the vicinities of the command center. Though the offered jobs are less, indirect employment and monetary benefits will be huge in Mesa.
