Arizona Telugu Association (AZTA) is gearing up for Diwali 2015 Celebrations. The nonprofit organization that brings Telugu speaking people of Arizona together is looking forward for Diwali 2015 Celebrations. The event is schedule to take place on 14 November 2015 at the Indo-American Foundation hall. About Arizona Telugu Association (AZTA)
“The mission of AZTA is to preserve and enhance the rich Telugu heritage and bring the community together by celebrating and educating the Telugu traditions and collaborate with diverse organizations to promote Indian culture.” The association is pursuing the status of the nonprofit organization and inviting all to be a part of the good cause and help them in raising funds for the organization.
Many cultural events like Deepavali, Ugadi and Sankranthi are being hosted by AZTA every year with an aim to promote Telugu culture besides providing a platform for locals to showcase their talent. Moreover, the organization conducts activities like picnics and sports tournaments as well as events like entertaining audience with musical and dance concerts by eminent Indian artists and the US artists as well. The organization gives a stage to teach kids the culture, language, and traditions of the rich Telugu heritage. AZTA also strives to work along with other Indian communities and organizations to share and promote rich and diverse Indian culture and traditions.
Venkat Kommineni – AZTA President
Venkat Kommineni is a seasoned leader and the President of Arizona Telugu Association/ AZTA. He has more than twelve years of experience in larger leadership roles across several global and large organizations. There is so much to speak on his success and achievements in his social life. The dedicated leader and a socially active member had made his mark in bringing Indian Diaspora in the US, especially more than 50K Asian Indian population in the Phoenix Valley, together through different associations. Kommineni served as a President for “India Association”, which is an old and big non-profit organization in Phoenix Valley, for two years of 2012 and 2013.
A daylong event that had more than 11k visitors was one of the biggest events conducted under the leadership of Mr Kommineni. He has been the leader for Arizona Telugu Association for a period of four years as the President. His contributions were extended to many non-profit charity organizations with intentions to serve communities across the world.
Mr Kommineni has a wide experience in several aspects of Information Technology like databases, operations, infrastructure, applications development, DR/ BC Strategies, security, data warehousing and enterprise architecture. The business focused leader has deep expertise in technical side besides successful track record of managing both in-house as well as outsourced teams.
As the AzTA is conducting the Diwali celebrations in a grand manner, several biggies are attending the occasion. Among them, G Janardhan Reddy is one, who is working for Dignity Health, a California based non-profit organization, that operates hospitals and ancillary care facilities in 17 states and also owns, the popular Pasand Indian Cuisine’ restaurant.
