At least four people died when a bus carrying Dallas Cowboys staffers but no players and a van collided on an Arizona highway, authorities said.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Quentin Mehr said that, the bus occupants emerged uninjured from the crash.
"All on the bus came through OK with some bumps and bruises," Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple (DAHL'-rimp-ul) said in an email. "It was the Cowboys bus and yes the driver and passengers are OK,” Dalrymple added.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said that, the accident took place on Highway 93 northbound and caused a shutdown of a northbound lane. The officials said that, a van and a bus is involve in the two-vehicle fatal collision.
According to and article by Mickey Spagnola, a DallasCowboys.com columnist, the two vehicles collided in the afternoon on U.S. 93, about 30 miles north of the city of Kingman or 180 miles northeast of Phoenix.
The bus was on its way to a Dallas Cowboys fan event in Las Vegas. The session with 50 to 75 fans was scheduled for 3 p.m. PDT, Charles Cooper, manager of GameWorks entertainment center in Vegas, said. The president of a Las Vegas Cowboys fan club relay the news of accident. The event was subsequently canceled.
