No end to parliament chaos

The chaos in the parliament has not been overcome. The opposition especially Congress, has made it a routine to disrupt the house. Even when the treasury benches have the required numbers to go ahead in the Lok Sabha, they are trying to content the opposition but in vain.

"We are constantly requesting you that according to Rule 184, you accept the resolution we have placed before you," Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said in the Lok Sabha.

"People are dying, people are not getting their salaries, unemployment is on the rise and GDP is falling," Kharge said. "Why is the government running? The government has majority. Even they can't digest these facts," Kharge said in the Lok Sabha.

"Please take this matter seriously," said Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. "Many farmers have not been able to sow or to buy seeds and fertilisers," he also said. "We just want to express the pain of the people," Mulayam said.

"Nobody has questioned the government's intention when it came to demonetisation. It is, of course, true that implementation of demonetisation could not take place according to the wishes of the Opposition," Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

"We are ready to debate on this issue right now. And we want to know what difficulties are there in implementation," said the home minister. "We will work on any implementation difficulty pointed out. The prime minister took this step to stop terrorism, black money and corruption," he said.

"There is not even one opinion on the rule under which the debate should be conducted," Rajnath said. "We should conduct the debate under any rule," said the home minister.

"We want to give suggestions. 8 to 10 lakh people are going to be unemployed," said Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge. "Please start the discussion under Rule 184," he said.

"Everyone wants to talk about the common people's pain," said Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan. "Please don't fight over the rule in the House. If you want discussion right now, I can give permission for a discussion without any rules."
