Pangui Uthiram Festival in Arizona

Pangui Uthiram festival is celebrated by Tamil Hindus. It falls on the day the moon transits  in the Uttara-phalguni in the twelfth month of the Tamil calendar. It is the full moon of the month of Panguni.

The full moon signifies the marriage of Parvati and Lord Shiva, Murugan and Deivanai, and Aandaal and Rangamannar took place. On Panguni Uthiram, Narayana marries Komalavalli Naachiyar and give his Kalyana Kola Seva to his Bhakthas.

This occurs during the last month of the year known as Panguni and it is a famous festival, which is  special to Murugan devotees.

Devotees visit Murgan during the Panguni Uthiram festival. It is the Jayanti  of Lord Ayyappan. It is also an important festival day for Lord Subramanya, as it is on this day that Sri Deivanai and Lord Subramanya got married.

According to Valmiki’s Ramayana, it is on this day and star that Sita’s marriage with Lord Ram was celebrated.

1:15 PM - Special Archana to Sri Valli Devasean Sametha Lord Subramanya Swamy.

1:30 PM - Maha Harathi and Prasad.
