“Vasudeva Sutam Devam, Kansa Chaanuuramardanam
Devakii paramanandam Krishnam Vunde Jagath Gurum”.

This poem means that Krishna is the supreme lord, Son of devaki (sister of kansa) and vasudev. He is the slayer of kansa and chanur. I bow to such great lord and may god bless me with his grace always.

Lord Krishna is one of most worshiped deities among Hindus. He represents Knowledge, wisdom, beauty and opulence, he is the very embodiment of love and divine ecstasy that wipes out pain and offense.

He is a true inspiration whether its love, affection, friendship. His childhood stories inspire all of us. The unexplainable love he carried for his mother yashoda, and yashoda’s love towards balgopal explains to us that “Not every relation is formed by blood, but some can be formed by love and affection”.

He is best friend that anyone could ask for, and he is that mentor who understands your worries without you saying it, and solves them. He guides you to the right path in the time of distress. He is the light in darkest path of ignorance.

Janmastami is celebrated as marking the birth of kannha. This festival has lot of prominence for hindus, and on this day krishna is considered as new born and he is pampered and loved by people.

On the day of janmastami people believe that krishna was born at 12 in the night, so they stay awake to welcome him and they perform special pujas, bhajans and they decorate palkies and jhulas to the new born.

Janmastami is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year and hope you enjoy the janmastami same this year, at ekta mandir in the celebrations organized by IACRF.
