John McCain Returns To Senate Next Week

Arizona Senator John McCain will be returning to senate next week after undergoing treatments for brain cancer in the August recess.

His Office released a statement on Wednesday saying, “McCain Will return to U.S senate next week as congress begins a new legislative session and looks forward to continuing his work for the people of Arizona and nation”.

John McCain the Arizona Senator was diagnosed with brain cancer called glioblastoma in late July, he underwent his first round of chemotherapy and radiation two weeks ago. The blood clot was removed from his left eye.

80 Years old, senate has celebrated his 81st birthday early this year, he is in office since 1987 and he was a republican nominee in 2008 elections which he lost to Barack Obama.

McCain is the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee and he is expected to lead debate on defense policy bill, he will be returning to Washington to join his colleagues after four weeks break.
