Authorities say that due to flooding 10 refineries has shut down from Corpus Christi to Beaumont, several other transmission pipes are closed or operating below capacity. This has greatly effected Motorists in South eastern, Mid Eastern and Mid Atlantic states, gas prices shot up to 30 cents per gallon in some places.
While Coming to Arizona there are no such issues here, the latest figures from AAA of Arizona show the average price of regular unleaded climbed just a nickel in metro Phoenix from $2.20 to $2.25. Arizona doesn’t rely on the same pipeline as other parts of the country.
Arizona Communication Director of AAA said, “There are no confirmed reports of gas shortages in Phoenix or Arizona at this time”, “Arizona is faring well compared to the rest of the country”.
