Chandler:
The Chandler city is making its vision ahead, looking forward, to when the self driving cars or the autonomous cars are on accepted regulation. The city council is expected to pass a rule of zoning, which could have less importance to the parking spaces around the city.
Chandler’s Principal Planner David De La Torre , made a statement that “ If a lot of people do accept and use autonomous vehicles over using their own cars then that’s going to create an impact, a significant impact, on the need and demand for parking,"
Torre, also made quick to the point, on self driving cars, that still no body is clear on the implementation of those autonomous vehicles could take over the present technology of driving. Few experts expressed that, it may happen quickly, and other officials feel that it may take over 20 years, before a significant number of cars have chosen to give up their own cars.
The new regulation may encourage firms with businesses to make arrangement of Pick-up and drop-off zones, exclusively for autonomous cars..
This arrangement cloud alter with providing of parking lots to the vehicles.
Torre also communicated to the planning officers of large cities like San Francisco and New York, to find some examples of similar ideas, but he cloud not find one. He said that “Just knowing that we’re the first or maybe one of the first cities to do this is pretty exciting," in response to the reporters.
