Three Indian-origin teenagers, hailing from Nalgonda district of Telangana died in a fire accident at Collierville in Tennessee on Monday, according to relatives.
The siblings - Sathwika Naik, 16, Jaya Suchith, 14, and Suhan Naik, 15, who were in the United States for education, were at a Christmas party at a local resident's house when the mishap took place at around 11:00 p.m.
In a release, the Collierville Bible church said, "The Coudriet family was hosting, housing, and celebrating Christmas with three teenagers attending an academy here in the States. The Naik family is Missionaries in India that our church supports."
It further stated, "Danny and Cole were able to make it out of the home while Kari along with the three teenagers was unable to make it."
According to Mahesh Naik, a relative, the siblings' father Srinivas Naik, a resident of Gurrapu Thanda village in Telangana, has rushed to the U.S. "The three children were studying in the USA. My uncle (Srinivas Naik) is a church pastor and runs a school here. We got the news about the disaster on Monday that there was a fire accident in a house in which they attended a Christmas party," Mahesh Naik said.
In the meantime, back at their native land in Nalgonda, people are in a state of shock after learning about the accident.
