Both the nations of India and Pakistan have been in a state of constant unrest since the Pulwama Attack. In a matter of reiteration, the Indian Air Force finally conducted an air strike on the terrorist camps in Balakot in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir, claiming to have killed around 200-300 terrorists there.

The sudden attack was not something the Pakistan government anticipated and has since then been trying to invoke their “revenge”.

Following the invoking news of possible nuclear attack meetings, both the Nation’s government officials gathered to come up with their plan of mitigation towards any possible attack as such.

Pakistan and India both invoked responses stating that they have shot down each other’s warplanes owing to the dramatic escalation of the rivalry since the air strikes.

Reverting to the claims, Pakistan clarified stating that they have downed two of the Indian jets and have captured two pilots who were in command of them. They further clarified saying that their motive is not to go to war with their neighbor as of now.

Alternatively, India claimed confirmed stating that they are missing one of their planes but even they have successfully shot down one of the Pakistani fighter jet in an ongoing conflict that took place somewhere over the Himalayas around the province of Kashmir.

Owing to the ongoing crisis, Pakistan inadvertently closed off its airspace “until further notice”. The scenario around in India was quite similar with over 14 airports being shut down in operation; a vast area around the airspace in the northern part of New Delhi was also closed to the civilian flights.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has spoke out on the issues regarding the ongoing Kashmir clashes stating, “If escalation begins here, where will it go?”

Khan further emphasised on the need of the hour stating, “Can we afford any miscalculation with the kind of weapons that we have and you have?” in his new statement. This was issued after both the warplanes of the nations were shot down because of the ongoing air conflicts.

Imran Khan retaliated saying, “I once again invite India to come to the negotiating table.” He ended his statement stating, “Better sense should prevail,” suggesting around with the nuclear arsenal of both the nations.

In the statement, Imran Khan also clarified stating that the Pakistani defence have taken down two of the Indian MiGs which crossed their border; two of the pilots of the warplanes being in their custody now.

While the Pakistani authorities have claimed that both the pilots are being treated well in their custody, the viral video on the varying social media platforms showcase them getting beaten up black and blue by the civilians.

A Pakistani military spokesperson reported on the matter stating that while one of the Indian warplane did fall on the Pakistan-held Kashmir, the other one was shot down and crashed on the Indian side of the de factor border that divides both the territories.

Major General Asif Ghafoor emphasised in his released statements that they don’t want any further escalation and they don’t want to go towards war at any cost.

Ghafoor said that while one of the pilots is currently in their custody, the other one has been admitted to the hospital.

According to the Major General, the warplanes were shot down after the Pakistani planes flew across the Line of Control to the Indian side with the aim to bombard the non-military targets including the supply depots. In retaliation, the two Indian jets crossed the Line of Control into the Pakistani airspace.

Gafoor stated saying that the Pakistan army was ready to take the blow which was how they shot down both the Indian jets that tried to invade their territory following which the wreckage were discovered on both the sides.

The prospects of one Pakistani jet being shot down was strongly refused by Asif Gafoor with the explanation that none of them were in action.

These false claims were then overruled when the Indian foreign ministry spokesperson, Rajeesh Kumar announced stating that one of the Pakistani jet was shot down that took part in dismantling the Indian military bases. It was even seen by the ground forces falling from the sky to the Pakistan side, he further added.

Confirming everything, Mr Kumar further exclaimed that in this tragic turn of events, the Indian defence has lost one of their Mig-21 and one of their pilots are missing in action and in the custody of the Pakistani authorities, as they mentioned.

In a separate run of events, a helicopter has been reported to have crashed and the exploded into flames outside the main city of Srinagar in the India-administered Kashmir, resulting in the casualty of 3. The officials are further investigating the matter.

With the onslaught of string of events, the Indian foreign minister clarified stating that the conducted air strike on Tuesday (26th of February) was a pre-emptive attack on JeM to stop their future assaults.

In her talks with China, Sushma Swaraj clarified that India doesn’t want any kind of escalation of these recent turn of events and will act with responsibility and restraint. Even US officials have come forth claiming to take a cooler approach to these conflicts between the nations.

Owing to the high risk and for the optimum protection of the country, the Indian Defence force is on high alert, the officials on stark duty on the borders.

There is no news as to what the upcoming pictures between India-Pakistan conflicts will turn into but the officials are believed to come to a compromise with further talks.
