Nearly 30 years after Debra Goddard Stumbled upon a usually shiny piece of glass ring and bought it from a boot sale for a mere £10 (approximately Rs 925).
After all those years, it was only recently that Goddard learned that the ring was an actual diamond worth a whopping Rs 68 crore.
According to reports, it was a jeweler who examined it and told her that it was a real 26.27-carat diamond.
The ring was kept in a jewelry box for well over 15 years and it was recently taken out to be sold after Goddard’s mother lost all her money to a fraudster.
"When I went to the jeweller he nearly fainted and said, 'Do you know what this is? It's a diamond.' I sat up all night looking at it, wondering what to do," Goddard told The Sun.
A CASH-strapped mum paid £10 for a boot sale “glass” ring — but it was a £740,000 diamond.
