President Donald Trump Celebrates Diwali in White House, Shares Moments on Twitter

US President, Donald Trump celebrated the festival of lights in White House on Sunday, tweeting about the moments via his official twitter account. President Trump has been celebrating Diwali for the past three years consecutively showcasing the kind of bonding the two nations have.
In the tweet, he further mentioned quoting, “As Diwali commences, Melania and I wish those observing the Festival of Lights a blessed and happy celebration.”

The video shared on the official account showed President Trump lighting diyas at the White House with the company of some Indian Americans around.
Addressing the issues with defending of the religious liberties, Trump tweeted in his Diwali message quoting, “My administration will continue to defend the rights enshrined in our Constitution that enable the people of all faiths to worship according to their beliefs and conscience.”
Trump further stated saying that the celebration of Diwali in the United States, especially in the White House, is a much needed reminder of the significance of the country’s core tenets which is the religious liberty.
The celebrations for Diwali in the White House this year were conducted on October 25th where he lit a lamp to celebrate the festival.
