The President of the United States has arrived in Ahmedabad at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and had been accompanied by the US First Lady Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka, son- in- law Jared Kushner.
The US President Donald Trump has first made a visit to Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram. It has been said that he would be witnessing a roadshow at the Motera stadium along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi after which the Trmp couple would be heading to Agra for a sunset visit to Taj Mahal mausoleum.
The ‘Namaste Trump’ event has made a start with Prime Minister delivering a rousing welcome speech to over one lakh audience who have gathered at the Motera stadium. He has said that he could witness the history being repeated where in he had started his trip to the United States five months ago with ‘Howdy Modi’ and the President of the United States Donald Trump has now started his trip to India with ‘Namaste Trump’ in Ahmedabad.
He had addressed the President Trump and has said that he was heartily welcomed in the largest democracy of the world and although it event has been organized in Gujarat, the entire country is enthusiastic for welcoming the US President.
The President Donald Trump has spoke at the Namaste Trump event where in he has mentioned about the relationship that the two countries of India and the United States share and he had praised the country India for various reasons.
- He has mentioned that the United States and India are committed in working together to curb the terrorism and to fight their ideology due to which the administration has been working in a very positive way with Pakistan in order to crack down on the terror organizations and the militants who are said to be operating on the Pakistan border.
- The President Donald Trump has showered praises on the ‘Chandrayaan’ mission that had been made by the Indian Space Research Organization.
- Trump has mentioned that the United States will be looking forward to provide the best and the most feared military equipment to India.
- He has also said that military helicopters of a worth $3 billion will be provided to India by the United States.
- The US President has praised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi describing that he is a living proof of what Indians can achieve and can accomplish anything with hard work and devotion.
- He had also said that India has become the largest democracy in just 70 years and it had also become one of the greatest nations in the world and that under the administration of PM Narendra Modi, it has been made possible regarding the accessibility of electricity to the villages and also that more than 300 million have got an access to the internet connection.
- Donald Trump has given a special shout out to the legends of the Indian cricket team Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli as he has said that, “This is the country where your people cheer on the biggest cricketers from Sachin Tendulkar to Virat Kohli, the greatest in the world.”
- US President Trump has said that he was overwhelmed by the way he and his family have been greeted and welcomed by India and that India would have a special place in Trump family’s heart adding to which he had said that the United States would be a loyal friend to India.
- Trump has mentioned that he along with the First Lady have travelled 8000 kilo meters to say that America loves and respects India, “The First Lady and I have travelled 8000kms to say that America loves India and we respect India. It is a profound honor to be in Motera in this beautiful stadium. Thank you for your spectacular welcome. Melania and my family will remember this forever.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the stage to conclude his address and has thanked the President of the United States Donald Trump for the kinds words that he has spoken and has also said that the President Donald Trump has not just honored the Indians in India but has also honored the Indians in the United States.
