Amidst the shootings fired at California Police Station, a sheriff’s deputy was severely wounded while responding to a report. The authorities reported that the shooting happened at a central California police station.

The motive behind the shooting is still not known.

The shooter is currently on the loose and a search has been advised in the downtown area of the city of Paso Robles. The people in the surrounding area have been asked to shelter in peace and not leave their houses until absolutely necessary.

The shooter is allegedly a man in the age between 20-30 years old, fired shots at the Paso Robles Police Department around 3:45 a.m. The gunfire happened over the span of a few minutes, but the details are still unclear, and investigation is underway.

The wounded deputy was admitted to the hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The Paso Robles Police Department tweeted stating that the shooting stopped by 4 am. The city also has 32,000 residents. This incident follows two recent daily shootings at officers in California.

Santa Cruz County sheriff's Sgt. Damon Gutzwiller was not just killed and another deputy was severely injured in an attack that took place in the community of Ben Lomond. It is allegedly carried out by an Air Force sergeant. It also includes the usage of AR-15 rifle and a few other weapons.

Staff Sgt. Steven Carrillo, who is allegedly the suspect, is believed to have been killing the officers.

FBI is currently investigating the case to see whether Carillo has any kind of links to the case of the killing of a federal officer who was shot outside US courthouse in Oakland. The same happened on May 29 during a protest.
