Alexei Navalny, the Russian dissident was down with cough and fever and he is moved to the hospital ward where he was imprisoned. Alexei Navalny has been in prison for the legal troubles that started in 2019 and he was arrested for triggering an unauthorized protest. He was poisoned in an assassination attempt that is linked to the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Alexei was flown to Germany after his health was critical for an emergency medical treatment. A Russian court said that the trip to Germany was a violation of parole and Alexei was sentenced to three years imprisonment. This led to nationwide protests and thousands participated in the protests. Several groups challenged Vladimir Putin's 20-year rule. Alexei Navalny's ill health triggered more protests.
Some of them say that it is a misstep from Vladimir Putin. Some of them say that the torture, detention and prosecution will help the autocrats to stay in the power. All the political prisoners can turn into celebrities overnight after people gain sympathy over the politician. South African Nelson Mandela is the best example who was imprisoned for 27 years. After huge protests, Nelson Mandela was released in 1990 and he was elected as the President of South Africa. Vladimir Putin happened to be a master of repression and corrupt bargains. After a series of examples, the world is now discussing about Vladimir Putin and his acts.
