Google, the biggest search engine and tech giant warned their employees hinting of layoffs if the upcoming quarter would not look good. This created a panic situation among the employees of Google and there is a fear of them losing their jobs. Google Cloud sales team has threatened their employees saying that there would be an overall examination of the productivity of the sales and in general. “If the next quarter’s results are not good enough, there will be blood on the streets”. Google also announced a two-week hiring freeze and there are no signs of reversing the freeze. The employees are worried about the layoffs and everyone is now talking about the Google’s upcoming moves and about the layoffs.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai informed the employees that the productivity has to be improved as the earnings are quite week in the second quarter for the second year. “We have to minimize the distractions and we have to be more focused on the products and on the customers. We have to raise a bar on the product excellence and the productivity. Google is facing a challenging environment and there is more uncertainty surrounded. Sundar Pichai said that he is concerned about the productivity. Sundar Pichai also announced the launch of Simplicity Sprint which is an initiative that is launched to increase the overall efficiency of the employees through their ideas. He asked the employees to share their ideas through an internal survey. Tech giants like Twitter, Meta and Netflix are now not keen on hiring new employees.
