A 24-year-old, Saiesh Veera, a clerk at a gas station was killed Thursday during a robbery attempt in Franklinton, Columbus, Ohio. The shooting happened around 12:50 AM at the Shell gas station. Veera has come to the United States to pursue higher education and was about to quit the clerk job. Friends of Veera is running a fundraiser campaign to send his body back to India, where his mother lives. His father passed away two years ago.

Homicide detectives are asking for help to identify this person related to a deadly shooting that occurred on April 20, 2023. Saiesh Veera, 24, was shot and killed at a gas station located in the 1000 block of W. Broad St.

Veera was pursuing the last semester of his master’s course. Columbus police have released a photo of a suspect and appealed to people to share any information about him. There was always a concern for Telugu Students who work at gas stations at late night. These incidents might not only take lives but going to shatter whole families and shatter the lives of persons who are dependent on them.
