In a massive earthquake that took place during the early hours of today morning, 128 people got killed in Nepal. The earthquake took place at a magnitude of 6.4 in western Nepal. Hundreds are said to be injured and the rescue operations are currently going on. Several mountain villages lost communication with other places. Nepal Army and Nepal Police personnel are taking the rescue operations. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the magnitude was recorded at 6.4 and the epicentre was at a depth of 10 km in Nepal. The earthquake was centred near the western temple town of Jumla and it took place at 11:32 PM as per NCS. Nepal’s National Earthquake Monitoring & Research Center told that the epicentre was at Jajarkot and it is 250 miles from the capital Kathmandu. Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is now visiting the impacted regions from Saturday morning. Before that, he took to Twitter to express his condolences and deep sorrow over the damage. Several security agencies are working hard to support the people in this tragic incident. Some of the strong tremors have been felt in Delhi and some of the places of Northern India. As per the reports, tremors are felt in Delhi, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. This is the second earthquake in Nepal in less than a month.
