Kangana Ranaut has been labeled as the versatile actor after her power-packed performances in films such as “Tanu Weds Manu” series and “Queen”. Speaking at a discussion at the 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in Mumbai, Kangana said that she got an offer to play the role of a 85-year-old woman in a film by Shekhar Kapur.
“I have been offered (to play) an 85-year-old woman. She is a mother. We are still in talks... The role is very challenging for me,” the Queen star said.
However, it was not confirmed by Kangana if the role offered by Kapur is for his ambitious project “Paani”.
Kangana was along with Vidya Balan, Shabana Azmi, Selma, Kiran Rao and director Ava Devunary at the Woman in Films session at the ongoing film gala, 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.
The pretty actress said about the subject that, “There is a pressure from the film industry and the society that an actor should look of certain age all the time. We as women should accept ourselves the way we are. We actors should stand for ourselves.”
