Story

Kapoor & Sons is about an unusual family who have their own flaws and struggle between themselves. Arjun (Siddarth Malhotra) and Rahul (Fawad Khan) are brothers and are the sons of Kapoor’s family. The brothers fly to Coonor to meet their grandfather (Rishi Kapoor). Arjun struggles to settle professionally while Rahul is a novelist and gains good name across the family as the ideal son of Kapoor’s. The brothers fall in love with Tia Singh (Alia Bhatt) after which things change drastically. An unexpected situation changes the fate of Kapoor’s family and watch Kapoor & Sons to know about what happens next and about the complete story.

Analysis

The first half of the movie has been highly, entertaining, fresh and revealing though the plot has been predictable. The songs have been placed well and they have been shot in beautiful locales. The entertainment has been fresh completely and the performances by the lead actors take the film to the next level. The interval episodes bring lot of interest and the complete first half of Kapoor & Sons has been impressive and it has been engaging. 

The second half of the film has the same momentum but slows down because of the emotional content. The emotional drama takes the major charge and the movie has been narrated in a way it touches the hearts of the audience. The songs have been decent and the performances by the lead actors take the film to the next level. The climax leaves a huge impact on the audience and is the major highlight of the film. 

Performance

Rishi Kapoor is the maior highlight of the film and his character has been written well which is quite naughty and energetic. Fawad Khan has done a unique role in the film and he is apt for the role. He has been stupendous with his presence and his performance. Siddarth Malhotra has been outstanding as Arjun and he showed many variations with his character in the film. Siddarth Malhotra’s performance is one of the highlights of the movie. Alia Bhatt has been bubbly and beautiful throughout the movie. All the other actors have done a decent job with their performances. 

The story of Kapoor & Sons has nothing new to reveal and the story of the film is quite predictable. The screenplay has been written well and the well written screenplay has been well elevated on screen. The dialogues have been written well and they have been apt. The music and the background scroe have been decent and they suited the film well. The cinematography is the other highlight of Kapoor & Sons. The production values have been grand and lavish. The director has taken enough care on the script which made a huge difference. Kapoor & Sons will sure end up impressing the family audience big time.
