The 2025 Ather 450 series was launched in India on Saturday. The Bangalore-based startup's latest electric scooter range consists of three variants: Ather 450, Ather 450X and Ather 450 Apex. Although the prices of all models in India have increased, they come with some improvements including a multi-mode traction control system, standard 'Magic Twist' regenerative braking on all models and a longer range compared to the previous generation electric scooters are equipped with the following functions. The price of another 450 2025 series in India starts at Rs. 1,29,999 (ex-showroom) for the 450S model. On the other hand, the Ather 450X 2025 is available in two battery pack options of 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh and is priced at Rs 300. Rs 1,46,999 (ex-showroom) and Rs 1,56,999 (ex-showroom) respectively. The 2025 Ather 450 Apex model is currently priced at Rs. 1,99,999 (ex-showroom). When purchasing an electric scooter, buyers can choose the Pro package, which costs 50 million Tomans. Rs 14,001-20,000 (depending on EV model).
All 2025 Ather 450 Series models are equipped with a new multi-mode traction control system that offers three dedicated torque intervention modes: Rain, Rally and Street. Rain Mode limits acceleration for safe driving in wet conditions, while Rally Mode offers the most subtle settings, allowing drivers to tackle rough or uneven terrain. Road mode, on the other hand, offers the best of both worlds, striking a balance between quick acceleration and safety in everyday traffic. Ather is also introducing the Magic Twist regenerative braking system for the 2025 450 series. This allows the rider to control the electric scooter with a single throttle. The acceleration behavior is the same, but you can brake by backing off the throttle, and regenerative braking also occurs as the battery charges. If you choose the Pro package, you will receive the new Ather Stack. It has six features including WhatsApp on Dash, Live Location Sharing, Ping My Scooter and Alexa Skills. The company is also offering two new colors: Stealth Blue and Hyper Sand.

According to Ather, the 2025 450 series now has greater range and faster charging times. Currently, the Ather 450S is said to have a maximum Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) range of 122 km and a 0-80% charging time of 5 hours and 30 minutes. The Ather 450X claims a standard IDC range of 126 km and a charging time of 3 hours, while the 3.7 kWh model extends the range to 161 km and a charging time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The flagship Ather 450 Apex 2025 has an IDC range of 157 km and a 0-100% charge time of 5 hours and 45 minutes.
