Indian Community in U.S. Tied Themselves to Backward India: Sunny Leone

Ever since social media turned out to be everyone’s favorite, the hate trolls, abusive messages and emails to celebrities, especially to females, have become more prevalent.
In a recent interview to indiatimes.com, Bollywood actor Sunny Leone opened up about how she used to deal with online hate. She said she had gone through so many hate emails and so much negativity from the Indian community in the United States in the initial years of her career.
“At that age, you are getting so much hate, you don’t know what to do with it, so all I did was I digested and said I have got nothing to do with anything they are saying,” she was quoted as saying.
She said the Indian community in the United States have tied themselves to backward India while India has moved on.
Speaking about her initial years in Bollywood, Sunny Leone said she was mainly offered items songs and she did not mind them. "I worked only for pay cheques because we wanted to settle here, so you need money," she was quoted as saying. The actor said she did not find anything wrong with item songs considering the industry she was coming from. "It was like a walk in the park for me," she told indiatimes.com.
On the work front, Sunny Leone was last seen in Tera Intezaar and she will be next seen in Arjun Patiala in which she is doing a cameo.
