Actress and filmmaker Rumi Jaffery opened up to media about her recent meeting with the actress Rhea Chakraborty. She stated that jail time has made Rhea quiet, dull and withdrawn and that staying is jail has completely crushed her soul.
Rumi Jaffrey is a film maker and has been working with actor Rhea Chakraborty in her upcoming film “Chehre”. He was also planning a new movie and was going to cast the late actor Sushanth Singh Rajput along with Rhea in his film. However, the death of Sushanth and the jail time for Rhea has not made things easy.
Sushanth Rajput Singh had passed away on June 14 2020. The CBI declared his death as suicide and accused his then girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty of narcotics possession and consumption with the late actor and few others before his death.
Rhea had stated that she is not responsible for the death of Sushanth and that she had loved him dearly. Sources claim that she has become very weak, sad, withdrawn and quiet in jail. She also barely eats and is kept to herself most of the time.
Rumi had stated to the media that Rhea will return to work after she is released from jail. The filmmaker states that police officials have wrongly accused her and that they have left out the people actually responsible for the actor’s death.
More details regarding Rhea Chakraborty’s release will be stated soon.
