Ingredients required for instant buttermilk curry
Curd/Buttermilk: 2 cups
Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
Rice flour (or Besan): 1 tbsp
Ingredients required to mince or to crush
Ginger: 1" piece
Coriander leaves (Cilantro): 1 sprig
Green chili: 1
Ingredients required for seasoning
Oil: 2 tsp
Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilies: 2 (or use mor milagai)
Fenugreek seeds: 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds: 1/4 tsp (or use carom seeds)
Asafoetida: a pinch
Curry leaves: few
Method of preparation of buttermilk curry
•Beat curd together until smooth with salt, water, turmeric powder, and flour.
•Curd which is little sour gives best result.
•Pour and heat oil in a kadai.
•Add mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, asafetida, dry red chilies, and curry leaves.
•Then add chopped ginger, green chili and cilantro.
•Saute for a minute.
•Lower the flame.
•Add whisked buttermilk.
•Let it warm for few minutes.
•Keep stirring constantly.
•Switch off the stove and it is ready to serve.
