Academy Award winning actor Matt Damon is all set to jump the bandwagon and how!
The 'Bourne Ultimatum' star will soon join the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Ben Stiller, Mel Gibson, Sylvester Stallone and Ron Howard as he ditches the camera to go behind the lenses.
Apparently, Damon had been dying to do something new and when Paramount approached him to direct “A Foreigner”, he was more than thrilled.
An adaptation penned by Oscar-winning "Argo" screenwriter Chris Terrio, “A Foreigner” is based on the 2008 controversial New Yorker article - “A Murder Foretold” — about the man who taped a video before he was killed in Guatemala, accusing the president and other political hotshots for his death.
Incidentally, Damon was supposed to make his directorial debut last year with "Promised Land”. However, owing to packed schedule, Damon stepped aside and requested "Good Will Hungting" director Gus Van Sant to direct the film instead.
