The launch event of one of the world's most opulent and uptown shopping extravaganza – the Masterpiece London luxury fair was a sight to see as celebs and millionaires thronged the venue at South Grounds of The Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW to splurge on antique, art and jewelery of the highest caliber.

Masterpieces that managed to steal the show and create a buzz on Tuesday night included a spectacular painting by Roy Lichtenstein called Puzzle Portrait, a large pearl belonging to Mary Tudor, and the first edition Great Gatsby, F Scott Fitzgerald (1925).

A high-end clock emporium in London called the Raffety put into display a long case clock that once adorned the rooms of a Medici palazzo in Florence, and an unique George II period walnut bureau bookcase.

Among other things displayed on the event were vintage jewels from Faberge by Wartski, exquisite Art Deco pieces by Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels.
