Chelsea Clinton is all set to campaign for her mother, the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
The AZCentral reported, according to the Clinton campaign, Chelsea Clinton, 36, is scheduled to come to the state Wednesday, October 19, but said other details are still being worked out.
It was not yet clear if the younger Clinton would appear at an event that is open to the public or if she would headline a private fundraiser.
Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, have been locked in a tight battle in Arizona, a state that traditionally supports GOP presidential candidates.
In 1996, Bill Clinton became the only Democrat to carry Arizona since President Harry Truman did in 1948.
Earlier, Chelsea Clinton addressed a roomful of her mother’s supporters at the University of Maine, laying out the Democratic nominee’s case to become the first woman president.
“I’m really proud that she does sweat the details, even though her opponent criticizes her for being too prepared,” Clinton said.
“Because if it’s your child or your family or the future of our planet, those are (important) details, so I’m so proud of my mom and of her campaign, and even more her life of work and advocacy, because this election is about our future, but it’s ultimately about our values.”
