Britain's newborn royal heir and Prince William and Kate Middleton's firstborn has been christened as George Alexander Louis. The royal baby would be officially called as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.
A statement issued from the Kensington Palace said, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son George Alexander Louis."
As is the custom, British royalty seldom use a surname — albeit you may find an occasional "Wales" or "Mountbatten-Windsor" — they usually have numerous middle names.
Post the birth of the royal prince, Ladbrokes bettors had wagered on names like George and James as the most probable names, with 3-to-1 and 4-to-1 odds, respectively. “Alexander rounded out the top three with 7-to-1 odds,” revealed a source.
Other names with longer odds were Albert, Arthur, Henry, and Louis.
