In an astonishing thing till date, punters have risked a significant amount on the Duke And Duchess of Cambridge over their second baby name, leaving one bookmaker facing a potential loss of five-figure amount.

If bookmakers are to be believed the Prince William will be blessed with girl and would be named as Alice.

"Alice is the new favourite and we have seen a significant number of bets, particularly from the Tunbridge area — you have to think there is good reason for the gamble," said William Hill, one of the punters

After Alice, the next fancied name among the wagers is Queen’s name Elizabeth at odd of 9-2 followed by Victoria, Alexandra, Diana and boys name Arthur, Henry and James all at 20-1.

The baby is due at the end of April.
