Sartaj Aziz, National Security Advisor of Pakistan, accused that Narendra Modi's India is acting like a regional superpower, forgetting that Pakistan is also a nuclear-armed country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers India as a regional power, since he took over the government last year.
Pakistan's National Security Advisor alleged that India was imposing its agenda in Ufa agreement violation that ruined the NSA-level talks. He added that Pakistan was not accountable for the cancellation of the NSA-level talks between the countries. At the last minute, the NSA talks were called off due to differences over Mr Aziz's plan to meet separatist leaders to discuss on Kashmir.
Mr Aziz was quoted by the Dawn as saying that, "Narendra Modi's India acts as if they are a regional superpower, but we are also a nuclear-armed country and we know how to defend ourselves.”
His allegation was that India wants talks on normalisation on its own terms with discussions permitted to trade and connectivity related matters. He questioned why 700,000 troops were stationed in Kashmir, if it is not the issue.
"The international community believes that Kashmir is a problem between the two countries which should be resolved."
"India should realize after the current episode that their tactics are not working," Mr Aziz said.
Pakistan also has evidence of RAW's involvement in Pakistan and it would not run from talks on terrorism, Pakistan's National Security Advisor said.
