Get ready for the 2016 Play Nintendo Summer Tour in Arizona! Don't miss! Mario the mustachoied plumber of video-game fame is all set to come in Arizona with his friends in the event.
The digital characters is scheduled to come to life at Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale on June 24-26. It will be the second of 12 stops on the tour.
Visitors will be able to sample eight games on Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 2DS systems, including, Yoshi's New Island, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Kirby: Planet Robobot, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Yo-Kai Watch, Mario Kart 7, and Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Christina Henning, Arrowhead Towne Center senior marketing manager, said that, "It's perfect to have something different in the mall, especially when it's so hot outside." "Even the young at heart enjoy playing in different Nintendo worlds."
According to the organizers, the event is free. There will be competitions in the event and winners can receive prizes like, Play Nintendo activity stickers and booklets, character plush toys and pencils. Favorite characters like Pikachu and Luigi will be there for photo ops.
"We want to create a world where kids can just play and parents can recapture the magic of the Nintendo world that shaped their childhood, and introduce the families to games designed just for their kids," Nintendo spokesperson Anka Dolecki said.
