Kali Puja is performed on the Amavasya night of the Amavasya night of the Kartik month which falls in October/November. It is done to diminish the all kind of negative tendencies which hinder spiritual progress and material prosperity.

The Bengali Cultural Association is organizing an event 'Kalipuja / Diwali 2016' in Arizona. The auspicious event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 05 November 2016 at the Indo-American Cultural Foundation. The program will begin at 5:30 PM.
