Officials confirmed that fake news pioneer Paul Horner has died in Phoenix on Sept 18. He drew attention during 2016 presidential elections by writing false stories that inflamed many readers internationally.
For last six years, he has been writing fake stories.These stories went viral on face book and other social media platforms. His news has misinformed tens or hundreds and thousands of people including voters from his own apartment.
He said in an interview in 2016 that anybody who gets tricked by my stuff is people that I’m targeting. He also said I’m trying to change the way they think.
Maricopa County Sheriff said in a statement that there are no signs of foul play in Horner’s death, further investigation is being conducted.
He was found dead in Laveen area of Southwest Phoenix. His family indicated that he was known to use drugs and abuse prescription drugs. Evidence in this case even suggests that this incident can be due to drug overdose.
