A 34-year-old Indian origin woman in the United Arab Emirates has won a whopping USD 1 million in a raffle in Dubai on Tuesday after picking ticket number 4111, which happens to be her flat number. Another Indian has won a luxury motorbike in the lottery game, according to a media report.
Beejal O, a resident for seven years on winning the raffle said: "I'm truly speechless and I'm beyond grateful. I don't know how to thank Dubai Duty Free for this big surprise.”
Beejal is a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire promotion.
After winning USD 1 million, the first thought that comes into her mind is charity, according to a media report.
Beejal now becomes the 148th Indian national to win in Dubai Duty Free since its origin in 1999. She bought the ticket on July 25 while traveling to India, the report says.
Four more winners were announced in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Promotion. Jahanzeb Arif, a Pakistani national won a car.
Another car winner was the 40-year-old Annie Espy Dias, a Portuguese national based in the United Kingdom.
The 28-year-old Shaheen Sheik, an Indian national based in Dubai won a motorbike.
