Ramdev angle raises pandemonium in Team Anna

Team Anna is in pandemonium over the Baba Ramdev tie up. However seniors confirmed that they had no common agenda but only were fighting for the same cause.

The Sunday meeting at Noida turned out to be a controversial issue for the anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare and his team. There were quite a lot of differences of opinions voiced by the members say sources. The origin of the controversy began when Anna and yogic Guru Ramdev had addressed a press conference in Gurgaon on Friday, announcing the proposed fast at the Jantar Mantar in Delhi on June 03. This led to a wider speculation that both leaders might focus on a common agenda. But speculations were dislodged by the 74-year-old Gandhian on Monday in Delhi. The Gandhian confirmed to the media, that though both were fighting for the same cause, which was a cause of the `Aam Janta’ too, their agendas were different. Anna confirmed that he would not be touring the country with Mr Ramdev, but added that he did not rule out sharing the stage with the yoga guru at a later stage.

"There is no gap in the one-and-a-half-month tour that I am going on. I told you before that we are not going to be touring together. But we are fighting for the same purpose of getting back black money and the Lokpal and the Lokayukta bills. We shall stand together and there is no change on that. After my Maharashtra trip, when we go together, it is possible that we will be on the stage together," Mr Hazare said.

But the show at Noida definitely proved that there was some trouble brewing in the camp. The major event was that the lone Muslim member of the Team Mufti Shamoon Qasmi walked out stating that he was not being heard in the meeting. But sources reveal that he had been caught recording the proceedings which was not right. (With inputs from internet- AarKay)
