Anti-Graft activist Anna Hazare yet again threatened to go on an indefinite hunger strike if the government doesn't take any serious action to implement the Jan Lok Pal bill before the parliament elections.

This time Hazare was at the Anti-Corruption Movement Committee convention organized at Vidyadana Educational Society ground, Gadag, Karnataka on Tuesday. He accused the government that it knew fully well that that implementation of the bill will bring all the corrupt politicians under the scanner which meant that there would be some union ministers as well who would be sent to prison.  He alleged that it was this the government feared and hence it has been procrastinating the passing of this bill.

The government is only fooling around with the people making false promises that the bill would be implemented soon but it is not serious in reality, he said. Adding that he would wait for some more time before the government acted and if not, he would go on hunger strike again at Ramlila Maidan, Delhi again to pressurize the government on the same. “I will go on hunger strike again at Ramalila maidan in Delhi to bring pressure on the government to implement this bill in letter and spirit”, he said.

Urging the common man to fight corruption, he asked them to be united in the fight against the corruption in the nation while being an active part of the anti-corruption movement. At Tontadarya math premises he sought the support of farmers in his drive while promising that he would lead their agitations for a minimum support price for their crops.

It is to be noted that his last stint of an indefinite hunger strike was not fruitful, yet. It marked the break down of the India against corruption, separating Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare.
