Classical Bharatanatyam Dance performance from participants of Sampradaya school is likely to steal the show at the Discover India 2015 event organized by India Association of Phoenix. Participants would perform on song titled “Devi”. They include Athira Ambadi, Surabhi Sajith, and Induja Kumar.
In 1990, leading Indo-Canadian dancer, teacher, and choreographer Lata Pada has established a Sampradaya Dance Academy with the forefront of training in Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form. Tanjavur style of Bharatanatyam is being taught, practiced and performed at the academy.

Bharatanatyam is an Indian classical dance form originated in the temples of Tamil Nadu. Bharata Natyam is known for grace, purity, elegance, tenderness, sculpturesque poses and expression. Today it has become widely performed dance style and most popular.
In the second half of the 20th century, thousands of Tamilians migrated to the US as skilled professionals. The largest population concentration of Tamils can be seen in Central New Jersey. Indian American Tamils have also settled in New York City and the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, as well as on the West Coast in Silicon Valley.
This is not it at the Discover India 2015 event, more to come for classical music lovers as students from Swarasadhana Music Academy are preparing to sprinkle magic of their melody upon audiences. The participants include Amruta Vadnerkar, Sai Sid, Somashree, Mihira, Ritika Anand, Aditya Vaidya, and Prema Gopal. There are to perform medley of Raga Desh and Raga Khamaj.
