Thoongaavanam (a place that never sleeps), Kamal Haasan's next film is already in the news for its posters. After playing the role of an eighth century King and a contemporary superstar in his recent film Uttama Villain, Kamal Haasan is now gearing up for the thriller and plays a cop in Thoongaavanam.

According to the buzz, the bilingual (Tamil-Telugu) thriller 'Thoongaavanam' will also feature only one song composed by Ghibran, and is currently busy working on the film's background score.

Kamal’s Thoongavanam features only one song crooned by him and composed by Ghibran.

"The song has been sung by Kamal sir, and penned by Vairamuthu. We've already recorded the Tamil version and will soon work on the Telugu version," the film's director Rajesh Selva told IANS.

Having completed the principal shooting recently, the team is currently busy with the post-production work.

Buzz has it that the film is a remake of French thriller Sleepless Night. But, there is not an official confirmation as yet.

Thoongaavanam is touted to be a fast-paced thriller where the entire plot happens in the course of one single night. While the film will be directed by Kamal's long-time associate Rajesh M Selva, it also features Trisha Krishnan and Prakash Raj in important roles.

It is titled 'Cheekati Rajyam' in Telugu and the film is set for a Diwali release.

Having packed a song from Kamal Haasan and himself in the film, the movie is much awaited. Also, the last thriller we all enjoyed by Kamal Haasan was a bi-lingual Vettaiyadu Vilaiyaadu in Tamil and Raghavan in Telugu.
