Sensational filmmaker Shankar who tasted massive hits in his career is all set with his next outing 2.0, a sci fi thriller that features Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. 2.0 is said to be the shortest film of the director and the final run time has been locked as 2 hours and 28 minutes (148 minutes). Shankar's last film 'I' ended up as a dud and the top director has been badly criticized for the pale second half and lengthy run time.
Despite of Shankar suggested to chop off some of the episodes, the top director went ahead and tasted his first debacle with 'I'. He is now not in a mood to repeat his mistakes and made sure 2.0 will have a crisp run time. While 'I' lasted for 188 minutes, Robo is the shortest in Shankar's movies with 167 minutes. 2.0 is said to be a visual feast and has been carrying high expectations. The last half an hour will have spectacular stunts with exceptional VFX stuff and will be worth watching in 3D. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, 2.0 is releasing on November 29th in record number of screens.
