Tamil Superstar Vijay who has been delivered a series of blockbusters has hiked his remuneration. The actor was charging Rs 90 crores as remuneration. He signed his first bilingual titled Varisu which is releasing as Vaarasudu in Telugu. Vamshi Paidipally is the director and the shooting portions of the film reached the final stages. The film's theatrical and non-theatrical deals fetched massive prices for the makers. Vijay has quoted Rs 110 crores as remuneration for the film and the makers agreed to pay him the same. Vijay will take home Rs 110 crores for Varisu. The film is announced for Sankranthi 2023 release.

Varisu is a family entertainer and it has Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Prabhu, Shaam, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Khushbu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha, Yogi Babu in the lead roles. Thaman composed the music and the first single Ranjithame is a smashing hit. Tollywood producer Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations produced Varisu. The film is expected to release on January 12th across the globe in Telugu and Tamil languages. Vijay is expected to complete the shoot of the film by the mid of December and he will move on to his next film that will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
