Actor Vikram after the drastic promotions of PS2 started working for his next film Thangalaan. The actor while doing rehearsals for 'Thangalaan' reportedly injured his rib. His manager Suryanarayan took his social media account and shared the information. Thangalaan is directed by PA Ranjith and is based on a mining field background from the early 19th century. Chiyaan will take a break to undergo surgery and will join the films shoot in a short while.

Suryanarayan wrote, “Thank you for all the love and appreciation Aditha Karikalan aka Chiyaan Vikram has received and for the astounding response to PS 2 from all over the world. Chiyaan sustained an injury during rehearsals resulting in a broken rib due to which he will not be able to join his Thangalaan unit for a short while. He thanks everyone for your love and promises to be back on his feet and rocking at the earliest (sic)". Vikram fans quickly reacted to the tweet and wished a speedy recovery for the actor.
