The Day 5 of India Bridal Fashion Week was high on bling as famed couturier Suneet Varma sizzled the ramp with his stunning collection titled 'The Golden Bracelet'.

Inspired by the grandeur and fashion of Pompeii and designed along the lines of romance, longing and wedding, designer Suneet Varma's dazzling collection was pregnant with art, drama and opulence.

The Roman paintings and sculptures in the backdrop offered a perfect milieu to Verma's swanky collection.

The models tramped the ramp in stunning saris draped in the traditional Roman way — the toga style.

The first sub theme of his collection —'Romance' was all about jewel toned, glamorous velvet line imprinted in gold metallic and beautiful beaded tassels. Embroidered sheer blouses, intricately detailed sheer dress with printed stole, off shoulder corsets, applique tunics, halter and razor cut embroidered blouses, printed velvet stoles  were the main highlights of this collection.

 

The next there, 'Longing' included rich ivory and blue line, baroque pearls, sweeping long dressed, stylized saris, sheer blouses and more.

'Wedding' the third and the final theme seemed to borrow heavily from the poetic life of Pompeii. Long dresses, floral applique saris, metal crafted corset, cutwork anarkalis, saris and lehengas, frilled jacket, tulle shrugs, corsets were the main attractions of this part of the collection.

The showstealer of the even was Suneet Varma's gorgeous showstopper, Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh who dazzled the ramp in a red and gold lehenga.
