At times dim and raining weather may ruin your plans and cheeriest moods. You and your kids might get disappointed to cancel all your programs and stay back home. But, you can overcome this boredom and disappointment with few lively and fun indoor activities, which might even help you in building a strong bond with your kids and family members.

Having an indoor treasure hunt can make your child’s day lively. It is simple. Make a set of clues for each player and see to it that each clue connects to the next one. Seal the clues in envelopes numbered in an order. The final clue should take you to the hidden treasure. It could be a toy, book, coin, or anything for that matter. Whoever solves the clues first and finds the treasure, will be the winner.  

Arrange an indoor picnic. Create a tent by draping sheets over the couch. Air beds or pillows can make your arrangement comfortable. Then enjoy your indoor picnic even on a rainy day. Is it not a great idea?

Play one word story beginning with ‘once up on a time..’. Go around and let each person add a word to it. Remember to fix a theme initially. Decide prior if your story should be ghostly, fairy tale, or something else. You will be surprised to see the creativity that each one possess and will end up in a really good imaginative story. It’s a real fun. To make your day delicious, you may even bake some chocolate chip cookies and add more fun. Try out any of these ideas and rule out boredom on a rainy day. Live life to the fullest!
